The kid isn't born yet. I want to paint the room yellow and HE wants to paint it blue (which I thin kis too cold). He says "Fine we'll paint the room yellow if you can find a Bananaman border to go on the walls." And then we'd have blue as the secondary colour and Bananaman=Blue+Yellow, which would be perfect. But can't find any. Please help!

We are just finishing with the drywall taping/mudding. We wish to texturize both the ceilings and walls (knockdown on the ceiling, orange peel or heavier on the walls). Do I need to prime the drywall before texurizing? I'm assuming it does need to be primed afterwards (before we paint on the new texture), but I've seen instructions that say both (either texturize directly on the drywall after mudding or prime with special drywall primer and then texturize).

I am installing red mahogany cabinets in my kitchen..which match my 100 yr old table. The countertops will be a tan color to match the tumbled marble inbetween them and the wall cabinets and the floors will be a light oak for contrast and all the appliances are white. What I'm stuck on is what color should the baseboards be. Should they match the cabinets or the floor or be white? The baseboards will be at least 10" tall. My kitchen is 13 x 16. This house is over 100 yrs old.

I left crayons by the radiator over night and the radiator turned off in an hour next morning I found the crayons melted on to it. I don't want scratch marks all over the radiator though. Help PLEASE!!!

I bought a gorgeous solid wood mahogany sleigh bed. The bed is hand carved. It's has little legs that hold the bed up that look normal but it also has pieces that just sit over each leg and make the legs look detailed. What are those pieces? I don't think they serve a purpose other than making the legs look pretty. THANKS. BEST ANSWER WILL BE CHOSEN.

I'm going off to college in the fall, and I'm trying to decorate my bedroom and bathroom. My bedroom has a lime green w/zebra sheets and lots of things around the room with the zebra print. I want an old world,renasance,gothic bedroom. The room is huge,theres a seperate room leading off the bedroom thats also pretty big with 2 windows and 2 closits. I think of it as a "dressing room" In the bedroom, Theres a coved ceiling only on 1 wall,I need a color to start with for the walls, and another to paint the celing,also something for that other room. I like earth tones. Any Idea's to spark my imagination? I wish I could get a canopy bed but the ceilings are too low. So I was thinking of making my own with curtain rods hung around the bed on the ceiling with drapes or sheers hanging from them. So tell me your Ideas please!
