I would go with a creamy white not stark white, it sounds like a nice warm kitchen

Funny....I was thinking a sage green. A great way to get ideas is go to Lowes or Home Depot and grab a bunch of paint samples that you think may work together. See what colors work well with the green you pick out and compliment your accent colors. If you're doing one or 2 walls with the green, I'm thinking you should have the other walls more neutral with a slight hint of color. Something really subtle. I would leave the baseboards white. It's hard to visualize, but the paint samples always give me good ideas when you're trying to see how everything looks together. Hope this helps.

RE:
What color baseboards in kitchen?
I am installing red mahogany cabinets in my kitchen..which match my 100 yr old table. The countertops will be a tan color to match the tumbled marble inbetween them and the wall cabinets and the floors will be a light oak for contrast and all the appliances are white. What I'm stuck on is...

I agree with the other two answers. Your design sounds very much like what I used when I redid the kitchen in a 100 year old bungalow I used to live in -- dark and light woods, oak floor, tan backsplash (mine was tile), though I had brownish green slate counters, white appliances. The house had the original 7" baseboards and I painted them a slightly creamy white (it has to be reasonably close to the appliance white so not TOO creamy).
In my present house (also an older bungalow) the previous tenants used oak baseboards to match the floor in the dining room and it just doesn't look right. In fact, I'm going to paint them eventually.
Stick to the white and I think you'll be happy with the look.

If the baseboards are wooden, I would stain them. You seem to have a "natural" look in the kitchen and painting the baseboards may take away from that look. 10" baseboards painted white may be a little stark in comparison to the the light oak and mahogany. Whatever your decision, I wish you the best.

I would definitely stick with a warm shade, I don't think you would like the white at all. Try to match the tan in the counter tops or the tumbled marble. If you really want to get creative you could stencil something on the baseboards or use a marbleizing kit to match the marble in your kitchen.

i live in a bungalow that is 90 years old, and have deep baseboards, too. i think your base & trim should be consistant throughout the house or you get a hodge-podge effect. in a kitchen white is always a crisp clean color

I pick the same color as the floor, or white. If you use the floor color, it will make the floor look larger. White would coordinate the appliances into the room. I think the beige would be pretty, but it might chop up the room into color bands.
