Hmmm. This is a tough one. Is it melted into a hard mass, or did the crayons "run" everywhere? If you turn the radiator on with enough heat to melt the crayons, it may be too warm to work with comfortably. So you should work with a cold radiator and provide a heat source you can control.
You could try aiming a hand-held hair dryer above the melted mess. As the crayons soften, lift off the layers with a plastic knife or a wooden popsicle stick - even a small Teflon spatula might work - being careful not to scratch and gouge the radiator surface. Have a roll of paper towels handy (you'll most likely use a whole roll!) and a plastic bag. Wipe off the mess as it melts.
This is all I can think off. I have used the hair-dryer method to remove candle wax from various surfaces; maybe it would work with crayons. Good luck.

Depending where it is on the rad (between each section or on the top)...try a blow dryer set to hot setting, then wipe with a cloth either dampened with white vinegar and water or with a mild cleaner.
Or if on top of the rad (flat surfaces) try an iron set to a heat just enough to melt the crayon but not burn...use wax paper, folded in half wax side to wax side so that the non wax side is facing both the iron and the rad...once the crayon is melted enough, take a plastic spatula or any plastic that is rigid enough to scrape without damaging...and scrape the warmed wax off. You can use the scrape technique for the one just above this tip as well.
Then any residue, wipe clean with a cloth dampened as first suggested.
Good luck

nightmare, i did this during a renovation a couple of years ago and it was a pain to get off..i had to repeatedly wipe with kitchen papertowels soaked in isopropyl alcohol with the rad on (available from chemist- very cheap, but i guess turps or white spirit might work), constantly turning/replacing the towel once it gets covered in the wax. it took a good few goes to get it all off, but each time the stains get thinner. i'm sure there are better ways but this did work
