I live in an apt, so I can't go finding studs or whatever. It's a fairly heavy picture in a frame. Should I use multiple nails or hooks or anything else?

i guess it use to be popular in the 80s. I'm using a spray bottle to wet the ceiling then taking a putty knife and scrapping it off...

but Is there a faster .. or easier way to do this ?

I would like to know how to paint over paneling. I know it is possible, but all of the advice I have received has to do with traditional wood paneling. This paneling is also wood paneling, but is decorative (looks like wall paper) and is very light, almost white in color. How should I go about painting this? Primer and then paint?

I am installing a vent hood and am wondering what the building code is for the distance between the cooking surface and the bottom of a vent hood (the vent hood has a metal liner with a wooden frame.)

Ok, so my bf and I are having a Christmas party at his apartment for like 20 of his college friends. The walls in the living room are pretty plain so he wants to hang some picture frames up with prints in them. Some are collage frames, 4x6, 5x7, etc.
The problem is, what to print??
He wants some photographs of like cool buildings and stuff, background pictures, nature, etc.
I thought it would be cool to put pictures of penguins, snow angels, igloos, polar bears, snowflakes, snowshoes, etc.
We want all pics in black and white probably...
So what do you think??

I'm trying to move out of my parent's house and would like some information from people who have moved out on their own at around age 19-20. I don't alot of money and have a stable job.
