Well, I did this with a Reader's Digest when I was a kid. You fold the upper right corner of the page toward the center of the book (where it's bound). So, there's a 45 degree angle... like this: |\
That doesn't look very good, but I thought it might help! Anyway, do this with every page (maybe you can do a few at a time with a phone book). It will automatically begin to make a circle. When they're all done, you connect the last page with the first with staples or paper clips. It will stand and look like a tree. /|\ Then, we spray painted ours with green paint. Then, maybe glue on decorations of some sort. Hope this helps.

Then you can spray paint it and add anything you want for your taste. Stick a star on the top or angle whatever have fun with them. you can even make a santa claus the same way, only put a foam ball on the top and use it as face.
