I want something that's fun (as in, NOT WHITE), but I already have bright red couches so I'm wondering, what GOES with that? I'm not worried about feeling relaxed, since that is where my family and I play and have fun.

You have lots of great ideas to take from here. The best bet for you is to find an accent pillow with LOTS of colours in it that match your sofas. Work from the colours in that pillow (a pillow is great becuse it's easy to carry with you as well to match other accents up to). Your walls can be as neutral as tan or as wild as green and it will look fabulous IF you mix it up correctly.

Since you already have a "loud" sofa as in bright red I would say go with a more neutral colour on your walls so your wall colour is not competing for attention with your sofas. Then find fun and wild accents by going to your local resale shop, Clarence sales at furniture stores or even your local walmart or target to find the right accessories. The important factor is to not stress about it have fun and be daring.

Also a great tip; Benjamin Moore sells paint samples. They are little containers of paint that are in the neighborhood of $5-$10 you can paint a small portion of your walls to see which colour you like best.

Have fun!!!!

A kahki color would be nice. Ditto for a natural fiber area rug trimmed in black. A few black accents, brass lamps would help tone down things a tad and add some shine to the room. Then some red/black/gold toss pillows. A side chair or two in a khaki fabric with black print would give a hint of class.

all in my opinion of course.:-)

A nice French Roast that is dark brown is great! Also, believe it or not, khaki is great with gold accent walls. Look up the color Baguette at Sherwin and Williams. French Roast is also a Sherwin and Williams color.

A color from Sherwin Williams, you will love, ( stone lion ) (sw2037) I just did a house that had a tanish colored decor, and painted the 3 rooms in a deep brite red.

You could go with a tan color or anything in the brown family. Also navy and red look really nice together.

Jump to the oppposite side of the color chart, and try the greens. Not dark greens, because the intensity of the two colors would compete. Lots of greens to pick from.

Tan or beige. Green and orange accents.

Or black and use lots of black and white with red accents.
