i bought a 12 ft pre-lit from sams. it took 3 hours to put it up and we kept the lights on the whole time we did that because thats what the instructions said to do. the ligst stayed on perfect. the next night it took us another 3 hours to decorate it , we had a huge ladder , it was really hard. so we were like, lets not turn it on until we are all done to see how it looks with everything on it. well we turned it on and then 2 minutes later they went out. so naturally we changed the fuse, and that worked for another 2 minutes and then all the lights went out again. about 2 days and 10 fuses later i am in tears now. there is no way i am taking that sucker down and back to the store. i bought lights to hang on it now but i am still wondering what i can do to make these lights stay on! help

I've collected several old Smokey the Bear posters and was thinking about laminating them, maybe this is a bad idea. Can't really afford to have them all mounted/framed. Don't know if they are or ever will be worth anything, i just love them. What do you think?

http://www.ivansmith.com/pag_product_id_354_p_1770-brown-michelle.html it looks better in person and i have the sleigh bed not that tiny little bed. anyways i painted my walls lilac because thats the color i wanted them to be. i'm afraid my furniture won't look good in my room though.. it's still wrapped up and such so it won't get dirty/damaged (we're remodeling our entire house) and won't be in my room for a few weeks maybe. i thought my furniture was darker but i havent seen it in so long i honestly cant remember how dark it is. so um click the link and lemme know if you guys think it'll be ok?

I know they used to sell it on QVC. I bought mine at Home depot. I have old hardwood floors that haven't had a coat of varnish for 20 years. They look worn. Has it worked well for you?

I'm redoing my M.bedroom and bath. I just purchased a new chocolate comforter for my bed. I have oak flooring and a king mahogony 4 poster bed. I'm needing some help on the color in which I should paint the walls and also what color curtains to use. The comforter is different textures velvet, satin, fur with each making a 12 inch stripe down the comforter. The satin has a little gold swirl in it. That is the only color besides the chocolate. In the m.bathroom everything is white except the oak cabinets. Should I paint a chocolate accent wall? Please help?

We like a very clean, simple look, but are trying to get the wow factor out of the custom cabinets we are having built. The appliances are stainless still and the faucet is going to be brushed nickel. The floor in the kitchen will be a medium color wood. There are 6 windows in the kitchen, so the kitchen getting dark will not be a problem. Any help if this will look good or any other ideas of a different color granite would help.

I'm remodeling my bathroom and looking for the correct term/keywork so I can do on-line shopping. I've seen built-in (indent, push-in, lodge-in?) shelves for holding bottles/soap on the shower/bath wall. It usually comes in two shelves so I can put "into" the wall to save space. Does anyone know what it calls? Many thanks.

I want to use the self adhesive squares to do my ketchen floor but am told I should use some extra kind of glue because they do not stick as well as one would expect. I am very allergic to fumes. When I glued a rig I was sick for a month. I am aware the area needs to be super clean, but if I need a little more glue anyway then is there a type with no fumes?? I was thinking water proof elmers but was told that was not a good idea. hlp plz

I have a new granddaughter & bought one of those fuzzy, inexpensive, red and white plush Christmas stockings for when they visit over the holidays. Does anyone have a good idea for how to write her name across the top of it? I tried iron-on letters with no luck, had to throw the stocking out and buy a new one. I'm not real "craftsy," so any help would be appreciated. I'd like it to look as nice as possible! Also, I really want to use the plush stocking, it matches the others I already have.

My husband has a collection of vinyl records that he will not part with. We limited space for these and they are getting in the way. They are currently in orange crates rearranged as best as I can . . . but the collection keeps growing and I can look at the crates no longer. I want to get him shelves to put them in but I want them to look nice and modern at the same time. Where should I look? And I tried ebay they didn't ahve anything like I want. Oh and I'm not rich so I can't spend that much money.
