My sister in law says we should never plug more than 2 strands into one another, but that seems extreme. Who has than many extension cords anyway? What is a safe number and what about them all going into the same outlet? These are inside lights by the way. Thanks for your help!

I have already have one guest room, but I want the basement to have additional accomodations if I have a lot of guests over the holidays. My basement is fairly large. I currently have a sofa and chair in the basement. The sofa is a regular one, not a sofa bed. I also want to keep a small area set aside for an office area w/ my PC and printer, etc. I'm wondering if anyone has some ideas for how to set this up. Should I purchase a sofa bed for this area? I could use the additional seating too because I want the basement (when guests are not in town) to be a place of entertaining like a home theater. Any advice would be helpful.

We have decided to start remodeling due to a water problem. We were going to try to preserve the wood that is on our floor boards and door casing but this job became very difficult. We decided to go ahead and purchase new door casing, pre-hung doors, and floor boards. Is this going to depreciate the value of our home. This home was built in the 20's and has never been updated besides the furnace. We just hope we are doing the right thing buy modernizing the home.

I would like to have feminine colors for my walls and accent with chocolate colors. E.g. accesories, furniture. My daughters room is going to be lavender. Hey guys,
I'm getting ready to plane some 3/4" barn wood to use as flooring with a 13" Delta planer. What size dust collector would be sufficient?
Thanks for any suggestions.
