It depends upon how much you like painting. A pink kitchen doesn't have mass appeal and may hold up the sale of your home when you move, so you may have to paint again. Keep that in mind.

I don't like yellow either, but I really like rich colors. I have a paint that's like the "Bittersweet" color in the Crayola crayon box. With the white trim and the oak cabinets, it is really nice, but that's my preference.

What's more important is that you choose a paint that is made for the kitchen. It is likely to hold cooking grease and moisture on the surface instead of absorbing it.

They say that yellow is a good color for the kitchen because it wakes up the senses in the morning.

If you don't care for yellow (or any of its variant shades), you can pretty much pick whatever color suits YOU.

I used to have a house on the coast and the kitchen was done in two shades of blue to compliment the water I saw out my window.

Pink used to be a popular kitchen color along with turquoise blue. You can find some cool antique stuff to go in a pink kitchen. Check out local antique/second hand stores.

I PERSONALLY THINK THAT A SAGE GREEN IS ATTRACTIVE. MY KITCHEN IS PAINTED "HERON PLUME", A SHADE OF WHITE, ABOVE THE WAINSCOTTING AND "LIBRARY PEWTER" ON THE WAINSCOTTING. THE PAINT COLORS I CHOOSE COME FROM www.shermanwilliams.com
