I need to remove some ceiling popcorn and there may be asbestos. What precautions do I need to take in removal (i.e. eye/lung/skin protection) and disposal (sealed plastic bags, dumpster, etc...)? Thanks.

Does anyone know where I can find kitchen towels that have a loop on one end so that they can hang from a knob or drawer pull?

I used to find these all over the place, and now, they're no where to be found.

Thanks!

I have some christmas lights outside on my house. Recently it has been raining and the extintion cords are wetting the lights. The lights were working before this rain. I have tripped the lights on the switch and nothing no lights. Could it be the rain on the extension cords that are wet. Please need advise!!!

I'm about to paint my bedroom - found some mildew behind some furniture and in the closet - obviously the walls aren't well insulated and there seems to be an air flow problem. The walls are plaster. If I just wash away the mildew with water and bleach, and then cover it with a oil primer, will that keep it from coming back? Or should I do something more?

Hi gang,

I was helping my mom put up some primer on her walls and in error I put the primer on the plastic framing around the windows. What would be a quick and easy way to remove this stuff from that location? Help!

We just bought a new king size bed. I buy the sheets marked as "fits mattress to 19" deep" The fitted sheets are great, however the flat sheets cannot be tucked in, not even close! So if they make a fitted sheet to accomodate a deep mattress wouldnt logic say that the flat sheet should too?! I am really frustrated! Does anyone have any recommendations where I can get sheets that will fit???
Thanks!

I just read the "Painting a stripe" Answer section, and I realize I screwed up by taping off and painting one coat of the stripe first. (I didnt repaint the whole wall first, then tape off and painting the stripe.)

I'm not anxious to paint over the stripe and start from scratch because I'm using magnetic paint ($$).

Ideas welcome!

Can't scrape the popcorn off (renting). Can't tape it off right? Or the popcorn will come off with the tape. Just paint CAREFULLY with a trim brush? Any ideas?
