No, the plaster will eventually crack and fall off. It's better to remove the tiles and re-drywall or plaster the wall.

Absolutely Not!!!! Do not even try this you will end up with not only a mess, but most contractors would charge you more to fix what you did than to just do the job right in the first place. If you want to change color there are ceramic tile paints on the market. Or scrape off the tile first then plaster it unless it is drywall then just use some drywall mud until smooth.

No don't even contemplate it will be ghastly. Chip of the old tiles with hammer and chisel then plaster. Plaster won't stick to ceramic anyway.

They can plaster over ceramic tiles, but will have to use pva adhesive brushed over the tiles and then use a thin layer of bonding, before they can skim over it, it will be better to take a bolster ( builders wide chisel) and hammer to remove the tiles first. You do not have to remove all of adhesive, because a thin layer of bonding will stick better, before they skim over the area. If you cut corners in building work, you will regret it in the future.

i agree with DO'NT.eventually it will crack and cost both cash and annoyance .the builder will be pissed off at covering a botch job and wil charge accordingly. MOTO:DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME
