first you thorough clean the floor than you have to measure the area accordingly, first spread the venyl sheet on the floor use Fevicol 555. for pasting the same , roll the sheet from one side , spread the glue on floor , then roll off the sheet slowly. the glue will take approx, 24 hrs to stick.

If you mean advantages of Sheet vinyl over small tiles, it's that you can roll it out all at once, and be done.
