how many light strands can you plug into one socket?

how many christmas lights can you connect togther on the tree without having to add another electric cord?

most wall recepticle are usually wired on a 15amp breaker, mutiply the amp per strand and stay under the limit especially if pther items are being used at the same time. overloading may start a fire before the breaker trips.

Depends on the type, some are 2 and some are 3....
