Before I answer that question, I would like to know why you would ask such a question. Toilets are made for human waste, and to receive the paper that would keep you human and clean. Then, to keep the toilet clean, you can pour the toilet cleaner of your choice in there, swish it around, pour in a bucket of water if you want to help it down, clean it around and be done with it. What you don't leave in the toilet is the brush you use to clean it out with. I sure am interested in why you needed to know all that!!

Anything other than your waste materials and toilet paper. It's not designed for anything else.
Add: Do NOT put anything that's not listed as "biodegradable" or "flushable." It's actually better to dispose of tampons in the trash (wrap 'em up) than in the toilet.

You should ONLY put (sorry if this sounds revolting) vomit, human waste, specifically specified flush-able products(hygiene wipe, baby wipes, feminine hygiene products) and toilet bowel cleaners down the toilet.

besides the more obvious item you should never flush dental floss..yes it is the worst thing you can flush.
Floss now a days are so powerful that they are starting to collect and with all the floss getting together..it is turning into rope which can clog and ruin the machinery that is cleaning our water...
