I know I'm kind of throwing off your consensus here, but, I don't really like the foam ones. They really do break down over time and lose some of their lovely springiness.
I got a nice Sealy pillowtop last year, put a down "featherbed" mattress topper on it, and never wanted to get up. JC Penney sells both through catalog and online. Very very nice.

In this area, Kentucky, Restonic is the best. Get the top of the line with the memory foam. I literally, cannot get out of it in the morning!

one with Rhonda in it....oh, sorry. you meant the type of bed.
y'know, just the plain old box springs and mattress, is just great.
cause when i don't want to get out of bed, i don't. and it beats the rocks we had in my day (in my day we didn't have all these fancy beds and mattreses, we had rocks and we were glad, and i had to walk 5 miles to school barefoot in the snow, uphill, carrying stone tablets, because paper was too expensive and we couldn't afford it, besides, it hadn't been invented yet.)
