My wood is not holding paint to well, and I would like to have siding put on, but I need the insulation (foam board) added too, as it is an older home. I wonder about the wood on there now, not letting the new siding sit level. Just wondering!!
Thanks!

The ceramic tile in my home is white. The grout was originally white but throughout the years it has become a dirty grey although it is clean. The walls are eggshell, baseboard, cabinets, tables, etc are oak.

Does anyone have any suggestions. I don't want anything real drastice in the event I ever want to sell the house.

my tile grout, which was done today, is 2 shades too light. i bought dove grey, when it shouldve been medium grey.

my idea is to get a small pint of darker grey paint and use a tooth brush to gently color it a little darker, and then use a clear grout sealer spray on it.

What other alternatives are there besides re-grouting???????

please help thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm in the middle of having my kitchen done by a friend of friend, not on the books, cash only. We agreed a price and half way through, he has had to add an extra £500 to build extra cabinets and to hire a skip which he has over priced me as i called a skip company myself. He has also smoked in my non smoking flat, answered my telephone and left my front door on the latch when he left for the day. He wants his money on sunday, what should i do?

I have moved 10 times in 8 years. I am so tired of having to pack, unpack and find places to put my stuff. I have lots of antiques and stuff I want to keep. Have had yard sales and tried to scale down. Am currently having a horrible time deciding how to decorate. Maybe I am just tired of it all. Any suggestions appreciated.

The finished attic rec room in my new home has burnt orange carpeting, which is quite lovely with the aged pine walls and skylight - a very "warm" feeling room, quite ski-lodgey, actually. The walls are angled - as in an attic or a ski lodge - and so are not conducive to hanging artwork. My rec room furniture is red leather, glass and chrome - quite cool and modern. Is there anything I can do to make this furniture work in this room??? Please help - I cannot afford new furniture or carpeting!
