is there a current top on it that you just don't like? if so, this could
be easy(ish). do you have a collection of anything flat? if not, go to a used bookstore and buy back copies of magazines for a subject that you are interested in. find pictures from the magazines, make a collage on top of the existing top, the pour self leveling marine sealant on it. will take more than one round of sealant, but the end result will be a shiny, waterproof top w/ a collage of pictures. then just use trim pieces around the edges for a finished look.

for example, this has been my plan for some time, so everywhere i go i collect something. a coaster from a microbrewery in oregon. a business card from a crabber on the northwest coast, etc., etc.

What do you like? I know a guy that had a Green Bay Packers "G" for his bar top. It was cool.
