slather mayonaise over the spots, cover with plastic wrap. Leave it for a while, but change it before it gets 'old' & starts to smell.
Yo can do it several times it won't hurt the wod at all. Clean it up & then use lemon oil to finish the wood.
It works!

varnish has been heated and damaged. best thing you can do is sand and re varnish the top of the table a cheap fix is to put a table cloth over it to cover it and make sure you use something better for hot bowls and pots that u put on the table to prevent futher damage

Go to the store and buy some Old English furniture polish. It comes in either a light or dark wood color. Rub it in and see if it helps it.

well what you can do is bring it to a wood reapir shop and they can fix it for you prolly for less that 50 bucks
