my tile grout, which was done today, is 2 shades too light. i bought dove grey, when it shouldve been medium grey.

my idea is to get a small pint of darker grey paint and use a tooth brush to gently color it a little darker, and then use a clear grout sealer spray on it.

What other alternatives are there besides re-grouting???????

please help thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Use a stain-sealer. If it's just been done, you'll need to seal it anyway, so get the stain-sealer in one.

Problem solved.

With all due recognize to others solutions, a few legitimate, and to you, or even to the installer, and after having established 1000s of sq. toes. of tile, and miles of grout strains, I have a couple of matters to present. First of the entire installer will have simply been a SUB, and under no circumstances responsible for what YOU selected. Second: Without understanding the "trader" I propose that any Decent / vaild / secure Tile dealers might presently have Grout samples of the REAL colour offerings. Those are commonly in a demo package form type in a million/four inch strips, probably four inches lengthy. With no offense to you, making a choice on a grout colour from a "card" is like making a choice on a paint colour from a card, and I've carried out thousand of gallons of paint as good. At this factor the tile grout stain is also your fine choice, and might correctly paintings for awhile over sealed grout. in the end it's going to be an problem you may also need to preserve, simply as you might a typical cleansing application for any tile floor or even sealer is not a ceaselessly factor. Personally I do not use sealer. I use a excellent poly mixture, sanded grout, that when set demands not more than right cleansing on a steady groundwork. Steven Wolf
