I have a large house and everthing is stain. Stairs, windows, doors, base moulding, etc. I was wondering, what is the best way to paint over this wood? The only coat of stain that has been applied is the Minwax brand. Most oft he wood has been stained over 10 years ago, but some of the wood was stained about a year ago. Should I prime this wood first? And if so what type of primer should I use? Or is there a better way without priming and then painting?

I have an exterior (front) door with some glazing/a window in it, approx 24" x 36" in size. For privacy/security reasons I need to cover over this window at night. I haven't yet been able to find anything suitable - light enough, easy enough to open, easy to install on the door. Does anyone make blinds or covers specifically for this purpose? Or has anyone come up with a DIY solution?

Want to make centerpieces that are original but easy for about 20 tabletops at my job. The centerpieces need to be fall theme but can last through Christmas. The centerpieces must have no glass or breakable products in them because it is for a nursing home facilty and the patients can not injury themselves with them by accident.

They've stopped carrying it, and no one remembers the brand name. The designs are different than anything else I'm finding.

The stone is about the size of you hand and it disinigrates as you use it little by little. A lot of people used to use it before all of these crazy products started coming out?

I have a couple that have the paint chipping off of their faces, and some with chipped bases. I have the green and flesh colored paint, but have been too chicken to do it yet.

in a 35X20, 80 year old wood frame house? I'm talking about the internal walls on the first, second, or third floor, not basement. I want to move the rooms around in this apartment. The present landlord tells me there are no load bearing walls, and I could make the space into one large 700 sq foot room if I wanted.

I will get a pro to check it out eventually, I just want to know if this is uncommon or not before going much further.

Thanks!
