Do what i do. Throw out his cluttery junk, say nothing. And then 3 months later when he finally wants it and asks you where it is, say " i don't know where did you put it?" I've been doing it to my husband for 10 years now , and he still hasn't caught on. Just dont cull to much at once or he'll notice.

provide bins and storage for the clutter. This way messes are easily contained and you can get an uncluttered look for your living space. Also impose a limit on the amount of things that you can own in a certain category. When ever I get a pants, pair of shoes etc...I donate an old pair to charity or put it in the trash. Good luck!
