I'm looking at getting a small studio apartment in another city as a second dwelling. I'm looking for some good reference materials or web sites that show how to maximize living space and storage. I'm sure that there must be some good ideas from places like Japan or Hong Kong where space is at a premium. Any suggestions?

I'm buying a house that isn't yet finished on the exterior, I'm looking for a program on the internet, that I can scan a drawing of the house and pick different colours. It is currentley prepped for stucco, and we want to put flagstone as accents. we have a sandstone coloured garage door, and the same colour soffitings and windows. If anyone can help that would be great.

I just moved into a brick home, someone either tried to fill a few gaps in between bricks on the porch wall or just got sloppy while calking windows, but the caulk is white, the bricks are multi colored and there is caulking everywhere...it is such an eyesore. Is there an easy way to get it off of the bricks? Thanks in advance for any help.

What is the maxium energy saving bulb you can use in the same appliance?

Because energy bulbs are a lower wattage but give the same light out put to a filament bulb

I bought a black and white geometric comforter and I don't know what color to paint my room. I can only paint the trim in my room (doors, around windows, etc.). I really wanted to use black, but I was told no because its too hard to cover up. I was considering a pink or something.. but I really want my room to focus on the black and white and I think that would focus more on pink. I was thinking maybe a grey... would that work? Any suggestions?

We are participating in a community event that involves businesses decorating their windows for the Christmas season. We are an office - have 4 large window panels measuring about 30" across and about 72" long. They are divided by 4 metal columns, so it isn't one continuous piece of glass.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I'm doing a child orientated improvement project to make a school playground more green and child friendly. we already have put in the planters, with climbers, etc, and we will be getting the kids to make murals on boards and fix this to the fence. The only thing is we have the institutional spikes at the top, which scare small children, and we want to make big spheres or sconces, or other fun sculpture to fix temporarily on the top. The budget is next to nothing, so we will be tarting up recycled materials - please help with your ideas. Thanks :o)

I have tried a fabric "sausage" attached with velcro, but it does not slide along the lumpy floor when trying to open door. We made a ledge on the outside to seal the door, but our kids keep knocking it down and we have not found a sealer strong enough to hold it in place.

What is a solution to this dilemma please? We can afford to buy something at this point. -. too much heat is being lost hourly!!!
