Take the paint to the paint store were you purchased it. Pick a color that you feels is salmon and ask them if they can adjust the color to the new chip. Sometimes, depending on the tint base used for your current color only minor color adjustments are do-able. There is a limit as to how much tint can go into the product otherwise you would jeopardize the durability of the product. Adding white paint will only make the color milkier. and you will not have a good formula should you need more paint. It is difficult to reproduce.

I would err on the safe side and call a paint store. It could make a difference if you have flat, semi-gloss, etc. I think just adding white would make it too "pink" - you would probably need to add a bit of yellow. Do you have the brand of paint and color numder that the original color is? That would help.

mix it up with white. It makes it lighter. Just make sure not to put too much. Put a little in, mix. Put a little more in, mix. Keep repeating until you get the desired color.
