My downstairs bathroom floor is made up of interlocking pieces of wood and has become saturated with the uncontrolled firehoses of three boys in the house (me included :) )
We had our kitchen floor done by a pro this summer and I asked him to save a piece that is large enough to put down in the bathroom. I am going to take out the toilet and the sink, rip out all of the hardwood links and baseboard this morning. I see that the floor pieces are glued down and do I need know the steps to take putting down the new vinyl and any tips aor tricks that anyone would be kind enough to share...

Hi,
I'd like to know if it is possible to lay reclaimed floorboards directly onto a newly laid concrete sub-floor, or are there any issues with doing this (ie is it a stupid idea !!). What would be the best adhesive to use ?

I run a Contractor Referral Service in Colorado Springs, CO. Our goal is to keep homeowners from making a mistake in hiring a contractor to work on their home. Often, homeoweners are so concerned with getting a "cheap price", they set themselves up to be ripped-off. I would just like to hear stories from others who have been taken-in by unscrupulous or unqualified contractors across America!
