The featherbed that I have does not have straps that attach or "anchor" it to my bed. It is constantly slipping down on the bed. Any ideas on how to keep it in place?

You can sew a piece of elastic to the corners and strap them around the corners of the bed.

I have one similar to what you are explaining. Ive started moving it up about 2 inches above the head of the bed, so that it gives it a little room to move. I do change my sheets out every week, so I just readjust it and it doesnt get too bad by the end of the week.
Try moving it up to the head of the bed a little more. put the bottom sheet on first at the head, and then do the foot of the bed. That will "hold" it at the head. it still slips a bit, but not too badly.

You can go and buy a cover for the boxspring that has a rubber part on the top in between the mattress and boxspring that will "Help" prevent slippage.

my mom sewed some elastic bands onto hers. she says it helps. they also make non-stick pads, kind of like you put under a rug, but it's just for that purpose.
