Being a tall person it seems though I'm squatting. Why dont the manufactures make these toilets taller for tall folks and small for short folks?

Check out lowes or Home Depot, i have seen toilets thats just a bit larger than the others. It depends on how much you want to spend.

I'm 6'2" and we have toilets with an elongated bowl and a seat height of 17" That works really well for me.

The 17" seat height is the standard for handicapped toilets. If you look at any supplier of toilets, they have these available and they can replace any standard toilet. Just check the dimension from the wall to the two bolts that hold the toilet to the floor. This dimension is called the "rough-in" dimension. The most common is 12" but there are some that are 10" and others that are greater.

LOL!!! I can relate, but there are toilets out there that sit higher for taller people. I have one so just keep looking. I would try a specialty store or search online.

there are higher toilets out there. If you own your home, you could simply change your toilets. My in-laws installed some of the higher ones when they remodeled.
BTW, squatting to poop is healthier for your colon/bowels, so it might not be such a bad thing that your toilet is low.

That means you would need at least two toilets in every bathroom. If you don't want to feel like you are squatting, then just stretch your legs out farther.

You can get extenders for the seat (seriously) as well as higher toilets that are made for the handicapped.
