Which one goes first? bed skirt or fitted sheet?

Im getting confuse about how to set the beddings, which one goes first, the fitted sheet or the bed skirt? I asked several people and they have different answers. We're going to have some sleep over visitors here on the thanksgiving. I dont wanna feel embarass.

This is messed up because I'm a guy but I just bought a comforter set the bed skirt goes first under your mattress and then your fitted sheet goes onto your mattress and then your regular sheets go over your fitted sheets then your comforter/duvet/blanket or whatever over your sheets. Then you have a nice looking made bed for your guests to admire. Happy Thanksgiving be the way!

It doesn't matter the skirt goes under the mattress and the sheet goes on the mattress, so you could sheet the mattress before skirting the bed or visa versa.
