My husband is dead set on getting a 4-grade tile (because he swears that anything less will have to be replaced for wear in 15 years).

It's my understanding that 5 is the highest grade - commercial grade, for use in things like retail venues with a lot of foot traffic.

So, with a family of 4, likely a dog in the future, a kitchen table and chairs being moved around - how long will a 3-grade tile last? My favorite tile is a 3-grade. He's willing to forgo the "look" for the grade.

Anyone with experience in this area, your input is welcomed. Thank you.

I have checked on eBay and many different office and file cabinet sites including office depot, staples, and the like, but I cannot seem to find burgundy and other richer colors in file cabinets without paying like $500 -900 just for one to be painted. Thanks if anyone knows.

i know when i go to somebody's cottage or log home, i usually get sick and tired, after a day or two, of looking at wood, in their kitchen, living room, bathroom, bedrooms, etc...or could it be that i'm just too much of a city slicker, how about you?

Our kitchen is somewhat dark (not dark colored, just not a lot of natural light). I want to keep the floor a nice warm chocolately tile - I've found a tile I really love.

My husband is concerned about what we'll do with our cabinets next, because it's the next project we'll probably do.

When we reface or replace the cabinets, if we have a warm chocolatey tile floor with black appliances, am I going to want to go with cool color cabinets, or stay in the warm category?

IOW, should warm and cool be combined in a kitchen as primary things (like tile and cabinets), or should you choose warm or cool as a theme with the opposite as accents? Thanks.

It does not have a glossy finish, but looks by the colour that it must have been treated with something. It feels slightly rought to the touch. Do I need a primer, and if so, does it have to be a special primer?

Anyone know where in Canada a person can buy, new or used, a triple bunk bed? NOT the single on top and double on bottom, but a true triple bunk with 3 seperate beds.....don't care if metal frame...and we have the mattresses so that is not a requirement.

I live in an apartment so though I could paint I'm not going to so my walls are white and my carpet is light, the couches that I've found that I like so far are light green, light tan, and a little bit darker tan but I'm open to other colors so feel free to give your input!!

I want a purple themed Christmas tree this year. I need purple lights. If it's a 100 bulb strand it has to cost under $6 with cheap shipping. I'm also looking for cheap purple ornaments. I already found some great purple garland at a dollar store. This is my first Christmas tree of my very own.

Merry Christmas

Everyone seems to have cream or chocolate coloured suites at the moment. I want to paint my room, but wonder whether anyone has used a different colour,or done something different with paint that they think looks really stunning. Or any ideas about how you have decorated your lounge please.
