i am looking to paint some crystal glasses for a holiday gift?

what type of paint would be the most durable for something like that that comes into contact with water and alcahol and detergents? is there a permanant way to do what i am trying to do?

There are several paint products available to paint on glasses. Look for paints that you bake in an oven (about 40 mins. at 325 ) to make them permanent & dishwasher safe. Most of the large craft stores sell one type or another. Check out www.dickblick.com. They have just what you are looking for.
