i have one of those old castiron tubs. someone painted the outside a dark green. i'd like to restore back to white.

Paint remover and a stiff brush...a messy job...a heat gun may damage the ceramic on the inside of the tub! If tub is inside..you'll need a good respirator for the caustic fumes (use rubber gloves and safety glasses. Be cautious if it has lead paint on it....of course you could always sandblast it too(outside)!

You can take a lot of it off with a heat gun, then use a paint remover.

i am a painting contractor and I agree with the stripper and a wire brush.....good luck

acetone will do the job.
