I have tried a fabric "sausage" attached with velcro, but it does not slide along the lumpy floor when trying to open door. We made a ledge on the outside to seal the door, but our kids keep knocking it down and we have not found a sealer strong enough to hold it in place.

What is a solution to this dilemma please? We can afford to buy something at this point. -. too much heat is being lost hourly!!!

Weather stripping is best. But if you can't afford to buy it.Find you a thrown away carpet or rugs.Cut them in strips.Screw to door. You can replace when needed.

BUy the door stripping that is metal with a rubber bottom. You can attach it with metal screws and the rubber gives when the door is opened but keeps the air out. Good Luck !!!

you need some weather stripping - can be found at home depot or lowes fairly inexpensively. Place it under where the door rests - should help out and maybe you wont need the fabric sausage.

I'll lay in front of the door where the air is coming in, I get hot alot, so it would probably do me alot of good!
