We are participating in a community event that involves businesses decorating their windows for the Christmas season. We are an office - have 4 large window panels measuring about 30" across and about 72" long. They are divided by 4 metal columns, so it isn't one continuous piece of glass.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Businesses often walk a fine line in not taking sides on touchy issues--religion and war being some of those. If you feel your office staff and your town would be supportive of a display honoring our military, that might be suitable.

However, some businesses choose to honor the entire season (and not JUST the Christian holiday) by adopting a season of giving. In this way, the spirit and the joy span religions, cultures and ethnic traditions.

So, with that said, you could design some silhouettes to put in the window that represent generosity, giving, sharing, togetherness, and so on. This might be especially necessary if you have a staff or a community representing a variety of cultures.

I agree with answer above - something honoring our military men and women would be striking. Not so sure about the nativity, though - the whole thing should be more modern. (There was no U.S. Army when Jesus was born).
