My room is fill with stuff.
I have kinda neglected cleaning since my dad left us.
Now I'm in high school, with friends, but can't have any over because of the mess.
My mom works WAY too much to clean, when she's home she needs the rest.
I want to surprise her by cleaning the house.
But I have no idea where to start....
My house is filled with boxes, and things laying around.
I'm trying to move my dad's old stuff out, and just bought a shed.
The main issue is that I have no room to put anything right now.
Also I'm getting a puppy in a few weeks so my room needs to be spotless!
Please help me!!!!

Has anyone tried to Febreze plug in air freshener? If so does it work? I have tried glade, wisp, oust and even the thing that sprays from the wall every 8 minutes. Nothing permeates the scent through the room longer than a second. Any suggestions? Also I have tried yankee candles (sweet tarts) don't work either. Help

How do people get their laundry smelling so fresh?
I normally wash my clothes with Tide, put it in the dryer and take it out the next day and they have a faint smell of Tide. But when my friends washes a shirt of mine she borrows, and she washes it and returns, it has this strong fresh smell that i LOVE and that is distinctive and long-lasting. I've realized this with a few people, but this is just one example. Does YOUR laundry have a strong fresh scent? HOW DO YOU DO IT???

I have an older (probably 1980's) dryer which I am looking to replace. When I place my order on the Sears website, it asks if I want to purchase a new power cord. Shouldn't I be able to use the power cord from my old dryer? Or do I really need to buy a new one. I just figure that these sorts of things are universal. Thanks for the help.

Some top loading clothes washers drain all the water before the spin cycle starts and others just start spinning with a full tub of water..

It would seem to me that not draining all the water before the tub starts spinning would produce more effective water extraction from the clothes

Long story short- I live with my boyfriend 22 and his friend 21. they are both equally messy and the boyfriend is getting better but the roommate is still a slob, and they dont clean up after themselves leaving me to the dishes, trash, dog/cat duty, laundry, vacuuming, and other cleaning.
I have tried.....
-Leaving all the mess except mine in hopes theyll get the hint: didnt work I just ended up doing 2hrs worth of housework for the mess they didnt clean for 2 weeks and no dishes to cook my own dinner on
-Bribing them saying pay me 40$/mo and Ill do all the cleaning: they became super slobs and wouldnt lift a finger to do ANYTHING
-Complaining non stop about what bothers me: works for a day then they seem to forget everything
I NEED HELP! I go to school fulltime and work part time and cannot be a part time maid as well! Im open to any and all suggestions!! And moving is not an option- lease isnt up til Sept

I currently have a Bissell bagless. It just seems where I live (rural area) I am vacuuming 3-4 times a week and although I take the vacuum apart and clean regularly, it just doesn't seem to pick-up like I think it should.

Anyone have an opinion on the Dyson vacuum cleaners? I am considering purchasing one and would like to know what you like or dislike about it. Thank you

Im looking for something light weight that actually suck the life out of the carpet and that;ll actually suck dirt off the carpet. I know there's different setting to set on the vaccuum but it doesnt work that well. Anyone out there has one that works this way or im just dreaming??? please let me know

Detailed cleaning instructions would be appreciated. I don't have the time to get one of those special cleaners, so if any readily-available household cleaner (baking soda and the like) would work, that would be really good to know. Thanks in advance!
