Detailed cleaning instructions would be appreciated. I don't have the time to get one of those special cleaners, so if any readily-available household cleaner (baking soda and the like) would work, that would be really good to know. Thanks in advance!

Depending on the surface of your table, try fingernail polish remover. If it is wood, just try to rub it with a polishing cloth(any cloth, Tee shirt material).

Put a big glob of mayo on it and leave overnight; Next morning, wipe, wipe and wipe somemore until it comes off. If that doesn*t help try white vinegar.
DO NOT use polish remover, or you will have a worse problem because it will remove the finish off the table.

You could try a little bit of vinegar, put it on a cloth and rub, if your looking for a household product. But if you find yourself in a drug or grocery store get Goo Gone. It gets rid of EVERYTHING and its cheap.
