ok for 2 years we lived in an apartment , that has been infested with roaches , continually complaining, all our landlord says its not a problem they can fix cause of surrounding apartments, im completely grossed out at the roaches that dont even run when the lights come on.. we have no food out, no nothing tried our own killing system , nothing , so as were packing to move out there are so many dead roaches in cabinets and closets, its just creeps me out, im debating on even cleaning up the roaches, they had no care for us and our sanitary reasons during our stay and im taking pictures. what would you do?

Yuck! I guess your decision would be based on whether or not you have a cleaning deposit. If that is not an issue, leave them there!

I mean I think you should look at it from if you were a new renter would you want to live in a place infested with cockroaches. I realize you currently do but if anything I would tell the landlord again and if they don't take any action about it, call you city department. They have health and cleaniness codes on just about everything.

I personally would clean it out it wouldn't take that long at all with two people. Plus the more grossed out you are the faster you will probably get it done all so you could leave sooner.

I would be so tempted to leave the apartment just the way it is, but if you signed a lease and it says that they can charge you for not leaving the place clean and neat, then you probably are going to have to clean it up. I would empty the apartment out, put a new bag in my vacuum and then run around the place and give it a good vacuuming and leave the used bag at the apartment in their trash. Also be careful when moving your stuff that you don't take any roaches with you to your new place.

I would give it a quick going over and then clean my vacuum thoroughly spray with roach spray and throw bag away may even take to car wash and vacuum your vacuum out! If time allows put stuff in storage open boxes and bomb several times and at new house spray bug spray all around doors and windows and on baseboards do not mop for several days move everything in loosley be sure to clean out back of clocks tvs anything electronic that is where there nest they love heat! Good Luck!

Even though it sucks that you had to live with them you need to clean them up. If you don't your landlord can hold back part of you deposit, for leaving the apartment a mess.

Taking pictures is a good thing, you could possibly sue your landlord for unsanitary living conditions if you have proof you continuously asked them to resolve the problem and they did nothing.

Life's not fair I am sorry, goodluck with your next place. And just remember to believe in karma!

Your landlord KNEW this was a problem and he decided that he didn't want to get off his backside to fix it?

Clean it- but take lots of pictures first. That will be your evidence if you should decide to sue him.
