I am slightly spoiled and I really haven't ever had to clean...I want to cancel my housekeeping service to try and save money but I'm not even sure where to start.....yes I know many of you will insult me but I want to properly stock up on cleaning supplies...which are the best?

my mom always finds something wrong with my cleaning skills. "You didn't dust that corner..." or "you should have used pine-Sol" or "you didn't clean the cat's litterbox...." even though I know I did! How do I make her understand I can't clean as well as she can?

This is probably a really stupid question, but im wondering if anyone else has had the same problem. I shouldnt be so naive as im easily fooled on shopping channels!! I've connected it all properly & read the instructions, waiting for the lights to come on to say its reached the right temp. But its taking ages to steam, i've left it max 30 mins. I know nothing looks like it when its on the telly. Help!!!

I have noticed for a few days very tiny white mites or so they look like only on the bathtub. I can only see them when they move or put a piece of color paper behind it. They look like a speck of dust but I can see them moving if you stare and watch them. I've tried cleaning with bleach but they are still there. No one is itching no rashes so I do not think it is scabies, lice, crabs, . They never jump they just crawl around and look like white dots. I do not see any wings or heads. I'm going nuts trying to figure this out.
Any ideas on how to get rid of them? I only see them on the bathtub.

Bleach, pinesol, tilex, etc, all leave the house smelling clean, but it's a boring chemical type of smell. What do you all use to have your favorite scent left throughout the house instead? If we can choose scents for laundry detergent, candles, air freshners, etc, there must be kitchen and bath cleaners which do the same.

How do you get rust off a cast iron skillet? Then, how do you keep it off? I thought I was doing everything right to take care of it but there is rust on the bottom or inside and on the outside. I clean it with hot water and dry it and put in the oven and it still rusts. What am I doing wrong?

How do you get mildew out of something like a futon cover... I have a 8 month old baby who is crawaling and getting into everything and now that it is summer I have my ant problem again. I need away to kill them but without harmfull chemicals. I don't know where they all come from. There is no ant hills out side the house. We don't keep anything out and the house is clean so I don't understand why they are coming in the house. They like the dog food. Please help! Any ideas?
