This is probably a really stupid question, but im wondering if anyone else has had the same problem. I shouldnt be so naive as im easily fooled on shopping channels!! I've connected it all properly & read the instructions, waiting for the lights to come on to say its reached the right temp. But its taking ages to steam, i've left it max 30 mins. I know nothing looks like it when its on the telly. Help!!!

I don't have the Home-Tek, I have the Euro..something (too early to think and no coffee yet) and yes, it does take awhile for the steam to build up.......not quite 30 minutes, but a good 15. Then you must use the steam with discretion, not continually for it takes awhile for replacement steam to be made. Also I use distilled water, not tap water. No water minerals to plug up the machine. It's not even an option with our water, it must be distilled. So I'm not too keen on using several gallons water to do the floor but will use the steam to clean around the stove, walls where I can't quite reach, or other selected spots.

My machine has an iron attachment and that I'm absolutely thrilled with.

On tv they have multiple machines and do a lot of talking between steam applications. To have a steam generator large enough to do the floor continually, it would have to be the size of a boiler.

I once had a problem with a steam mop (different brand) it had blocked jets that I had to clean out.
