We have had pergo flooring for about 3 years now. If you purchase the kind that required to be installed with glue, you might want to buy a small bottle of the Pergo floor cleaner to clean off any glue residue. Our floor did not require any glue but I bought the floor cleaner anyway and didn't need it. You can keep your floor clean by sweeping it and wiping down with a damp cloth. I have also used the Hoover Floor Mate which worked pretty good. I don't recommend the Swiffer Wet Jet as it leaves streaks. The BEST way to keep our floor clean is the Roomba! After much deliberation we bought the Roomba Scheduler from Costco for around $260 and it was worth every penny and more!!! It automatically runs every other night and now all I have to do is run a damp cloth across the floor once a week or after a spill and our floors look GREAT!!! Typically taking care of hardwood floors is a two step process. First you have to sweep or vacuum up all the dust and dirt then go back and wet clean the floors. With the Roomba it takes care of one of the steps for you, which saves a lot of time! I live with my husband, my two little boys under the age of 3 and a Jack Russell terrier so I find the durability and quality of the Pergo to be fantastic! I wish you the best of luck with your new flooring!

Deffinatley don't wet mop it. Most laminate floor manufacturers make a spray that will help keep it's look as well as not damaging the flooring. It's very suseptable to moisture, so damp mopping is all that's recommended. Also, sweep as often as possible becuase dirt on the floor that you then walk on will make the floor look older, faster by dulling the wear layer.

Hi! I actually have pergo and unfortunatly use other cleaners. I wish I would have stuck with the pergo cleaner. My floor doesn't shine like it use to because I use misc products. like swifter, Method, etc. That are probably meant for hardwood. I would stick with what they recommend. :)

Follow Man. suggestions,

THEY GET DIRTY FAST!!!! so be prepared with some dry mops or a dry swiffer. any liquids or chemicals will breakdown the finish.
