I have these old kitchen cabinets that I'd like to clean, but everything I try using doesnt take off this gummy dirt that has collected. The dirt is around the areas where everyone is opening the cabinet doors. Ive tried using a small scrubby but that was a big no no because it started to take off the finish. Any ideas on what will remove the dirt? I've tried murphy's oil soap and no luck with that. Tried goo gone also and that didn't work either. Also, the cabinets are a light color so you can see the dirt!

My daughter was recently diagnosed with four chemical allergies (skin allergies). Two of these chemicals, colophony and quaternium-15, are found in most shampoos, lotions, detergents etc.

Does Arm & Hammer work well on clothes because that is what we are trying out on her stuff. (we're still searching for what works best for her)

Mom always told me to scrape the labels off pickle jars and peanut butter containers and soup cans before recycling. Why? What happens at the recycling factory if you don't?

And how about recycling paper - do you have to remove staples? Why?

I attached some Christmas decorations to windows with masking tape. I was able to get the tape off, but it left a good deal of the glue on the window.
Any good ideas as to what chemical may get it off??

I have a 1991 Gibson Acoustic guitar that was in cherry condition when I got it, but i did something stupid... I played it with just a tank top on (or no shirt at all) and my anti persperant (Arid XX) got smudged on the finish. I tried wiping it off with a dry rag, but it seems to me like it is on there permanantly, and it really bothers me... Is there any product that will clean the smudges, shine the wood, and not damage my finish? Thanks in advance for you non sarcastic help.

I applied the product Quick Shine to my laminate wood floor, I put 4 coats on the floor. It looked good for about 2 days. Now I need to strip it. Let me tell you what I have done so far. I filled a bucket with ammonia and used a floor brush and scrubbed it, 6 times. I also added ammonia to floor cleaner and again used a floor brush and scrubbed it and wiped it...2 times. There is still a "film" of wax on the floor and it is spotty, it looks awful. I thought ammonia was supposed to dissolve the wax. Today i wiped it up again with straight ammonia, still streaky. If you bend down to the floor and scrape it with your fingernail it comes up, well I'm not going to do that. ANY IDEAS!!!!!!!

No matter how much, how long I scrub, I cant get our tub to come clean, It looks NASTY! Ive tried every cleanser known to man...and its still looking gross! I even bought those Mr.Clean Erasers...great for taking off my sons Artwork, on my walls, lol.
I even tried this stuff you can paint on and it kinda does a Faux Re-Sealing...after about 3 mths, its started peeling and got gummie, now we have a unforgiving clog in the tub(its like clue) Thank goodness , hubby is a Plumber...Thanks for those who are able to give some TIPS!
Also, we DONT want to spend all the money it cost to resurface the tub.

Im Allergic to CLOROX/Bleach!
