I applied the product Quick Shine to my laminate wood floor, I put 4 coats on the floor. It looked good for about 2 days. Now I need to strip it. Let me tell you what I have done so far. I filled a bucket with ammonia and used a floor brush and scrubbed it, 6 times. I also added ammonia to floor cleaner and again used a floor brush and scrubbed it and wiped it...2 times. There is still a "film" of wax on the floor and it is spotty, it looks awful. I thought ammonia was supposed to dissolve the wax. Today i wiped it up again with straight ammonia, still streaky. If you bend down to the floor and scrape it with your fingernail it comes up, well I'm not going to do that. ANY IDEAS!!!!!!!

sorry... next time read the product info...

For best results clean with our Quick Shine Cleaners. Do not clean with oil soap, pine oil, orange oil, ammonia, vinegar or all-purpose cleaners as these cleaners can interfere with the Finish process.

If Quick Shine® Floor Finish has not been properly applied or maintained, it can be removed with our Quick Shine® Deep Cleaner/Wax Remover. Do not use the Quick Shine® Deep Cleaner/Wax Remover on laminate surfaces or unsealed wood.
You should never remove Quick Shine® Floor Finish from the laminate surface as it will dissipate with foot traffic over time.

so I'd give it time... or contact the MFG

Hopefully with all you have done you have not damaged the surface of the laminate.

I thought laminate flooring had a very long warranty. How could it be in bad shape? Do you have dogs that scratch it?
I just do not understand all of the damage.

After all you have done I have no suggestions. I think the 4 coats of quick shine are the problem. Two probably would have been plenty. Then damp mop it .

Ok, this is a tough job,but you want to use a chemical that eats clue...You set it on the corners and then peel back, you must continue this all the way threw...It is still hard but it will take it up...Ask your local hardware store for the best chemical to take up Floor glue..
