i have to do this stupid experiment for school and i am supposed to get people to guess my outcome. so here it goes. they gave me 4 pairs of white socks to get dirty and then i have to clean them using sodium hypochlorite to see if it works the same as bleach. i have one pair with bar be que sauce stained on the bottom, one pair with spaghetti sauce satined on the bottom, one pair with chocolate syrup stained on the bottom (that was gross), and then one pair i just wore outside and got grass and dirt stains on the bottom. i am supposed to ask which, if any will come the cleanest using sodium hypochlorite.

Well during the winter my clothes smell fine. But it seems that when summer comes and my clothes heat up (even if i dont sweat) they start to smell funny. I generally only wear cotten clothes. I always wash them before I wear them and I use a nice smelling fabric softner. Anyone have a similar experience and how can I combat this troubling problem?

Probably a strange question....

I have a lot of grime on my black stove top that I can't seem to get off. I've tried soaking it and wiping away, repeating the steops, and still, no real head way. I know WD-40 is great for removing grease, grime, adhesives, etc, but is it safe to also use on a gas stove top? The can label doesn't quite say if it's safe, only states to keep THE CAN away from heat, sparks, pilot lights, etc.

Anyone know if this is safe? And if not, can you make a suggestion as to what to use? I've tried and tried, am selling my home and preparing for showing, and certainly don't want a dirty stove top to stand in my way of closing.

Thanks in advance!

Something happened with a load of laundry, resulting in blue stains from my liquid fabric softener being left on several articles of clothing. I did not put the clothes in the dryer, as I did not want to set the stain. Is there an effective way to remove fabric softener stains?

I am a really big pack rat. I am just cleaning out my room and I have found drawings and notebooks full of poems and worksheets from when I was like in 3rd grade. I don't want to keep them, but yet I do. I think it is really cool to have stuff from a really long time ago and I'd like to look at them in about 20 years or so, but they are taking up space in my room and now there are just a bunch of notebooks in my room. Do you think I should get rid of them?

Things like the tops of sippee cups, and re-useable storage containers and their lids. Also plastic juice glasses get turned upside down and full of rinse water. How do I avoid things like that?
