I have several pairs of patent leather heels and the problem I'm having with the white, pink, and light blue ones are that the heels have brushed against the front end of the opposing shoes from the rare trip or awkward step, this has left unsightly black scuffmarks, I've tried using Goo Gone with no luck, could someone say what would remove these marks? Thanks.

HI, I living in Singapore. I got a room in my flat that has this problem of the wall. It can get moldy and I can always see small mites crawling on the wall.

I tried to wipe it sometimes with Dettol or some cleaning detergent. Obviously the mold keep coming back.....

It is a cement painted wall.

How do I resolve this?

And also, how I get rid of those small mites crawling around? I see them on wooden furniture/tables. Are these dust mites?

Ever notice when you wash pants, the groin area always seem to fade first? Why does this happen? It's not as though that particular area is made of different material or exposed to more friction, sunlight, wear, etc. So why does the groin area of the pants fade faster than any other area in the pants?

I was given some lovely towels for Xmas, but recently they have started to feel very harsh against the skin, Soaking them in lots of fabric softener doesn't seem to help! I really don't want to buy a whole new set, so any suggestions would be welcome!

What's the best way to clean a stovetop, burners, and the pans for a gas stove? I just moved into a house where the previous renters left the stove filthy. I want it clean so I can feel inspired to learn how to cook.

I have tried a few different detergents but can't really afford the name brands like Tide all the time.

My clothes never really smell "clean and fresh" after I wash them. Any tips?

It's not like they are really dirty when I wash them, now if I wash my whites and use bleach, they smell great but thats the only way ANY of my clothes/towels smell good.

Does anyone know what I can use to clean vomit off of wallpaper? Food poisioning makes life ever so fun... I thought I had cleaned it all up, but noticed a couple splatters on the wall earlier - not too big, not too noticeable, but still disgusting. I just don't want to damage the wallpaper in the process. Thanks!

I have read all over the place and on here that I should use vinegar for pet urine on the carpet.

I was told to add about a cup to a gallon of water. I've tried this and the smell of urine is STILL there.

This is what I've tried before...
1. blot the area with paper towels
2. spray water on the area and soak up with paper towels
3. clean with water/vinegar mixture and blot up with paper towels or a white towel
4. let air dry

I did these steps, changing the amount of vinegar I used, how much I soaked the area, not cleaning with water first... NOTHING works. It just smells like urine and vinegar mixed together and usually leaves a brown stain on my light beige carpet.

What am I doing wrong?

I have a medium sized clothing closet and A TON of clothes. I have so much to do during the day and the last thing want to do is deal with my unorganized closet. The closet has shelves and even dwars/cubbies but are all full of tons and tons of clothes (and shoes).
I know that most women wear 20% of their clothes 80% of the time- and I am currently one of them because 1/2 my clothes don't fit because I'm still loosing baby weight.
Should I just start getting rid of clothes I don't wear often to save me time when I get dressed and put away my laundry or is that just being wasteful?
I do not have the option to use another part of my house or garage to store my extra clothing. It either stays in my closet or is sold in a garage sale. I don't know why I'm having such a hard time following the whole "if you can't remember the last time you wore it" rule. I still have a lot of clothes that I bought with my own money as a Freshman in high school that still look new!
