I put my husbands jerseys in the washer. We wash them on cold and delicate. Then we hang them to dry. Do not dry them in the dryer. The fabric that the numbers and letters is made out of will shrink if it gets hot. We use just basic Tide to wash them. We have had no problems doing it this way.

Wash it inside out on the gentle cycle in cold water and lay flat to dry.
