when I set my dryer to the drying programme,a gush of water comes in and wet the clothes I am only wanting to aire them before putting away.

Sorry to say it but the last washer/dryer I had was hotpoint and that did the same, I had nothing but problems with it! Got a zanussi now and its fab.

thats why washer/dryers are no good, when one part breaks you cant use the dryer.

it sound like the inlet water valve is faulted you will need a multimeter to check part ,good luck

Take it outside and i will b round with a large hammer to hit 7bells of $hit out of it.

grrrr mines the same! Put it on once though & it just dried ..... fluke though, never done it again ...... & it takes ages to dry!
