There is a great product called goop its great for removing lots of muck, they sell it almost everywhere including dollar type stores. If you need somthing quick and handy try vasoline or lotion then regular dish soap!!
Good luck & God Bless
P.S. Goo Gone is a little more expensive

Matters what type of windows. If you are talking about coated safety glass, or stained glass, then alcohol works best. Use it with a rough textured cloth If it is just regular pane window glass, then alcohol and a razor blade.
Also lighter fluid for zippos works pretty good. I had to use it a few times for problems with stickers on multiple surfaces including glass.
Do NOT use finger nail polish remover. Contains acetone which can damage coated glass.

Goo Gone is an excellent cleaner. It can be found in just about any store that sells cleaners. It smells like oranges and is kind of like an orange oil that takes off sticky stuff. I assure you it will work wonderfully! Good luck!

Single edge razor blade with some soapy water.
Goof-off is a commercial product that should work if you want to try it instead.

I use lighter fluid and a razor blade. just squirt alittle on and wait a couple of minutes to soak then use a double sided razor and "push" the glue off.

Careful what you use solvent wise,
could damage paintwork of window..
methylated spirits, surgical spirit,
are fairly safe.
Methylated spirit is good a getting permanent marker off of the paintwork of a car. (But try a test patch first)

pick yourself up some goo gone at your local hardware store. It's great stuff and so handy around the house for other sticky spills and things.

Goo Gone. It works great for that kind of stuff. You can get it on the cleaning aisle of the supermarket (among other places)
