I believe they will eat it out of your butt hole. Stick a few up there and see what happens!

Grind it up really well. Then see if you can dissolve it in some water and leave it out for them to drink.
If you find a big flock, break up the pieces and toss it into them. Perhaps you'll have a dumb (or smart) one eat it and then the other rat birds will follow.
