My husband was trying to be helpful while I was gone. He washed some towels and put them in the dryer, but did not turn the dryer on. I came home 2 days later to very moldy smelling towels. I have washed them twice. They still have like a sour moldy kind of smell, but not nearly as strong as when I first discovered them.
Help!

White clothes are coming out of my dryer with stains that look like of brown lines or “streaks” all over them. I don't notice it when they come out of the washer. I've started turning clothes inside out so the stain goes on the inside of our clothes. I've checked the drum of the dryer for any noticeable stains and can't find any. The dryer is only 2 or 3 years old. Any ideas?

more than one laundry hookup. If I were to build my own house I would have a laundry that had at least 2 washers and 2 dryers. Laundry could be done in half of the time.

I've always washed my undies in the washing machine, but I've just invested £150 in brand new bras and lace french knickers, I wanna make them last. I have like a delicates bag is it ok to wash them in that in the machine on a delicates wash? I know this sounds ridiculous but how do you handwash undies?? Do you use hot/ warm water, and just washing powder or do you use a special detergent? Do you leave them to soak or do you like swish em about a bit and wring em out??? And any tips to make em not go like cardboard if you hang em out to dry?? I know this sounds so daft!!! Thanks girls!

I am going to rent one of those steam cleaning machines.

Should I use a certain method (such as only going up and down or side to side)? Do certain stain removers work better than others?
Are there enviro-friendly cleaners to work with? Any suggestions will be much appreciated.

My daughter has a raincoat that has been packed away. How do you get the wrinkles out? (obviously you can't iron it - it would melt!) Has anyone heard any tricks on how to make it look like new again?

Much like the "clean sweep" type shows. Does anyone have any tips for what needs to be done, and how to go about doing it? I love that they put everything on the lawn, but we're in an apartment, so that's not happening. Also, it has to be done this week since he's on vacation right now.

My family brought a kerosene heater two days ago, and there is a really strong kerosene smell in my clothes. I don't want to be embarrassed when I attend class, and smell like kerosene. The smell is making my headache and is making me nauseous. Is there anything I can do quickly to get this smell out of my clothes or at least make the smell less stronger?

the "clean " light came on but there is no obvious thing that is dirty. does anyone have one of these at home and knows how to clean it?

Do your clothes not wear out as quickly in a noticable amount of time? The only thing I notice is that they can press my clothes better than I can. And of course there is the time differential.

Right now I throw my nice shirts in the wash on the gentle cold cycle, hang dry them, and then iron them...they look pretty good afterwards and it doesn't cost me 2 bucks a shirt.

Weighing all the ups and downs, do you think dry cleaning is worth it?
