A old recipe for coffee stain removal is to use one teaspoon of white vinegar in one quart cold water; soak the area with the solution. Baking soda sprinkled or rubbed into a damp stain also works. Launder as usual after treating. Do not dry in the dryer if any of the stain remains. If you are unable to get the stain out, coffee stain is caused by tannin, so go to your local janitorial supply store and purchase tannin stain remover solution and follow the label directions.

OxiClean Triple Power StainFighter!

1. Flush stain as soon as possible with cool water.
2. Pretreat stain with Laundry Stain Remover or Triple Power StainFighter.
3. Launder as usual adding a capful of Triple Power StainFighter with regular detergent to boost your regular detergent's power.

note: when pretreating the stain be careful you do not rub too hard on the embroidery. It is tempting to give it a good scrub but you need to be careful that that you do not damage the delicate fibers.

It is best to let the StainFighter sit for a while before putting the shirt into the laundry.

Was it heated to set in? I spill coffee on myself ALL the time (lol) and I've never had a problem w/ coffee stains.
I, also, put a scoop of OXY clean in w/ every load so that may be why.(?) I use that for everything from my sons stained clothes (even set in stains) to red wine on the carpet, I love it.

Apply Dawn dish detergent to the stained area, let it sit for a while then toss in wash.

Also good are Shout wipes.
