I get a real clean feeling whenever i've been to the tip and emptied the trailer...

You're absolutely right!! I get the same feeling when I have finished cleaning house - ironing included. Can't totally relax until it's done.

no maybe about it you do need to get out more, i moved in to my flat in sept and have ironed a grand total of two items! ironing is such a waste of energy on many levels. stop ironing right away!
