Hey I've put the plastic kind in the washing machine with detergent and bleach and allowed it to soak for a while. Then I let it run through the wash cycle like I would regular laundry. Take it out, hang it back up and it's good to go. I have a cloth one now(which I wash like regular laundry) but it has a separate plastic liner and I do it the same way.

If you are talking about the plastic part wash it by itself with regular laundry detergant cold/cold, then hang dry. The fabric part can be washed with other things and hang dried or put in the drier. I would hang dry it so that it doesn't shrink. We have very hard water and have to wash out shower curtains oftain. This always works.

TayLee is correct. That is exactly what I would do and the plastic curtain would come out looking brand new. I would put in in dryer on the lowest temp possible or air fluff to get rid of the excess water. On nice days I would hang it out on the clothes line.

Fill washer w/ hot water, add 1/3 cup ammonia, 1/3 cup of bleach and 1/2 cup laundry soap, run through the cycle with two bath towels add 1 cup of vinegar to the rinse water and then hang back up while wet so it won't wrinkle!

There's a Cif spray which cleans the entire bathroom as well as shower curtains. Go to your local market and rad labels on Cif sprays, the one that you are looking for is there. It's one of the newer sprays.
Good luck

Wash in hot water with one cup vinegar. Be sure to throw a load of towels in there. The vinegar will eat away soap scum and hard water deposits, the towels will wipe it clean! Good Luck! =0)

Put it in the washing machine with one or two towels to scrub it. Remember to use gentle cycle. It should be clean and ready to hang after one wash.

Take it down and soak it in the sink with some regular dish washing detergent or laundry detergent. Then hang it up outside to dry.
